Buyer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Machitech is seeking a Buyer to support its procurement activities in a growing manufacturing environment in our Kentucky plant. Reporting to the Director of International Purchasing, the successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day management of purchasing activities, material flow and production support. This position is well suited for a structured and detail-oriented individual who is eager to apply their procurement skills in a hands-on and dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, issue, and follow up on purchase orders
- Monitor suppliers, lead times, order confirmations, and deliveries
- Compare pricing, lead times, and terms to optimize purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning teams to ensure material availability
- Apply internal purchasing and procurement procedures
- Maintain up-to-date supplier and item information in the ERP system
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods
- Store, label, and properly locate materials in the warehouse
- Issue materials according to internal requests
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the storeroom
- Perform any other related duties associated with the position.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a similar Buyer, Purchasing, or Storekeeper role
- Comfortable using an ERP system and Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in a manufacturing, OEM, or distribution environment (asset)
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts (asset)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and inventory levels
- Good communication skills and stress management
- Autonomous, reliable, and responsible
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
