JOB DESCRIPTION
The Industrial Painter at Machitech ensures the aesthetic and protective finish of our machines by preparing and applying paint with precision. The role involves surface preparation through sanding or degreasing, handling heavy parts using lifting equipment, and rigorously maintaining spray equipment to guarantee consistent quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Prepare and mix paint
- Manuever parts using a forklift or overhead crane
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, and occasionally stripping or degreasing)
- Paint parts and perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment
- Clean accessories and equipment using solvents
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Perform all other related duties
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in industrial painting, surface treatment, bodywork, or construction painting (an asset)
- Relevant work experience in industrial painting (2 to 3 years)
