Millwright Project Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Technical Operations Lead, the Millwright Project Technician will support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of advanced industrial equipment at customer sites across the United States. This role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with project coordination responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that equipment installations are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with technical specifications, while acting as a technical liaison between customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and assemble industrial machinery and automated equipment at customer sites
- Perform equipment alignment, calibration, and mechanical adjustments
- Support system startup and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues during installation
- Assist in planning and executing installation projects
- Coordinate on-site activities with internal teams, contractors, and customers
- Ensure projects meet technical specifications, schedules, and safety requirements
- Report progress and technical issues to project management
- Provide technical expertise during equipment integration
- Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Support customers with operational guidance during startup phases
- Ensure installations comply with company standards and safety regulations
- Maintain detailed service and project documentation
- Promote best practices in mechanical installation and maintenance
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or certification in Industrial Mechanics / Millwright / Mechanical Technology or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic
- Experience installing or servicing industrial equipment or automated machinery
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, alignment, hydraulics, and industrial components
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Willingness to travel frequently across the United States
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally if required
- Ability to work in industrial environments and lift heavy equipment when necessary.
