JOB DESCRIPTION
The welder reads blueprints, prepares and assembles parts, selects and sets welding equipment, and performs high-quality welds. The role includes inspecting weld integrity, correcting defects, finishing welds, following safety standards, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting production through accurate assembly, planning, and related fabrication duties, and complying with occupational health requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret welding blueprints or instructions
- Check the dimensions and conformity of parts before assembly and welding work
- Clean and polish parts to be welded if necessary
- Plan the sequence of part assembly
- Adjust, assemble, and secure structures using bolts, clamps, spot welding, or other methods
- Select and set up welding equipment (gas)
- Weld, brush, grind, and polish welding excesses
- Inspect the quality and penetration of welds and make corrections if necessary
- Apply occupational health and safety rules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform any other related duties
REQUIREMENTS
- Training or experience in MIG steel welding
- Experience in an industrial environment (an asset)
- Being able to weld in all positions
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment
